Born on July 18, 1937. Eldest son of the 9th Miyake Tokuro. In 1943, he was adopted into the Yamawaki Izumi family and became the 19th head of the Izumi school. In 1991, he completed the performance of all 254 current Izumi school plays. He also performed many new Kyogen plays and overseas performances, including a Kyogen version of Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" which was performed in England. He is a holder of the Important Intangible Cultural Property (comprehensive designation). He passed away on June 30, 1995. He was 57 years old. He was born in Tokyo.
