Ishinomaki area

...The central city of Kesennuma has strong ties with the surrounding areas as well as the southeastern part of Iwate Prefecture, and some parts of the Kitakami Plateau are highly dependent on commercial settlements in the Senboku region. (3) Ishinomaki Region Centered on Ishinomaki, it includes the whole of Oshika District and parts of Monou and Toda Districts. It occupies the lower reaches of the Eai and Naruse Rivers, which form part of the Senboku Plain, and the area from the Kitakami Highlands south of the Kitakami and Ojika Rivers to the Oshika Peninsula.
