[history]
It appears that it was originally written as Fukumitsu, and it is said to have been the base of the Ishiguro clan since the end of the Heian period. In particular, it is said that it was the castle of the Ishiguro Ukon and Sakon families until the former was destroyed in 1481 (Bunmei 13) while fighting the Ikko Ikki uprising.
