Ancient Records of Great Japan - Dainihonkokiroku

Japanese: 大日本古記録 - だいにほんこきろく
Ancient Records of Great Japan - Dainihonkokiroku

This is a series of historical documents on Japanese history compiled by the Historiographical Institute of the University of Tokyo. It brings together representative diaries and other old records from each period. The institute began publishing it in 1952 (Showa 27), in addition to "Dai Nihon Shiryo" and "Dai Nihon Komonjo". It has been rigorously edited based on the original handwritten text or the best possible source text, and includes lost passages and strives to restore the original as much as possible. Names of people and places are annotated, headings of the contents are written in the margins at the top, and an excerpt and index are provided at the end of the book. Published by Iwanami Shoten. The works already published are, in chronological order, "Teishin Koki," "Kyureki," "Shoyuuki," "Mido Kanpakuki," "Gonijo Moromichiki," "Denryaku," "Inokuma Kanpakuki," "Minkei-ki" (incomplete), "Gogumaiki" (incomplete), and These are "Kennaiki," "Gaun Nikken Rokubatsuyu," "Shaken Nikki," "Uwai Kakuken Diary," "Tokitsune Kyoki" (unfinished), "Umezu Masakage Diary," "Arai Hakuseki Diary," and "Egi Gakusui Diary." In the future, "Okaya Kanpakuki" and "Nisui-ki" are scheduled to be published.
