Born in 1613. Son of Ikoma Masatoshi. After his father's death, at the age of 11 in 1620, he became the third lord of the Ikoma clan in Takamatsu, Sanuki, under the guardianship of his mother's father, Todo Takatora, and his son Takatsugu. When conflicts arose among his retainers (the Ikoma Disturbance), his entire territory of over 170,000 koku was confiscated, and in 1630, he was exiled to Yajima, Dewa (Akita Prefecture) with a toleration fee of 10,000 koku. He died on June 16, 1622, at the age of 49. Source: Kodansha Digital Japanese Name Dictionary +Plus Information | Legend |
