Four Philosophies of Go

His teacher Genjo (1775-1832, 11th Honinbo), his rival Yasui Chitoku 8th (1776-1838), Gennan Inseki (1798-1859, 11th Inoue), and his disciple Hidekazu (1820-73, 14th Honinbo) were known as the Four Philosophers of Go.
