One of the rights that airlines have. The right to fly to a third country beyond the country of arrival. The right to approve is given by the transport authority of the receiving country. Until now, the exchange of route rights and the allocation of transportation capacity have been regulated and facilitated mainly by air transport agreements between the two countries. In an attempt to liberalize this, the Open Skies Agreements, which the United States began concluding with European countries other than the United Kingdom and France in 1992, have been in place. Furthermore, the interpretation of beyond rights has become one of the points of contention in the Japan-U.S. aviation negotiations. The United States emphasizes beyond rights, while the Japanese side argues that beyond rights are merely a secondary right. Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
