Dark Current
When two electrodes are placed in a gas and the relationship between the voltage applied to them and the current flowing through the circuit is calculated, a small current flows in the part where a non-sustained discharge occurs. The discharge at this time does not emit light. Note that the current that occurs in a phototube even when it is not exposed to light (dark current) is also called dark current.
