Dark Current

When two electrodes are placed in a gas and the relationship between the voltage applied to them and the current flowing through the circuit is calculated, a small current flows in the part where a non-sustained discharge occurs. The discharge at this time does not emit light. Note that the current that occurs in a phototube even when it is not exposed to light (dark current) is also called dark current. 気体中に2枚の電極をおいてそれに加えた電圧と回路を流れる電流の関係を求めると，非持続放電が行われる部分で流れる微小な電流。このときの放電は発光を伴わない。なお，光電管において光を照射されなくても発生する電流 (暗電流 ) をさして暗流というこもある。
