Red legged child - Sekkyakushi

Japanese:
Red legged child - Sekkyakushi
Year of birth: Year of birth and death unknown. A painter-monk from the early Muromachi period. His existence is known only from the seal "Akakyakushi," but his style suggests he was a disciple of Myocho. This assumption is supported by the fact that Myocho used "Hasasagi" on his seal, and his disciple Reisai used "Akifumi Jitsuji," both of which have names related to feet. His works include "Kanshan and Shide" (owned by Masaki Art Museum) and "White-robed Kannon" (owned by Rokuonji Temple). <References> "Suiboku Bijutsu Taikei," Volume 5
