Foam fire extinguisher

Japanese: 泡消火器 - あわしょうかき

Most of them are tip-over type. It is a double-bottle container, the outer tube contains an aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate and foaming agent, and the inner tube contains aluminum sulfate liquid. When used, the container is turned over or broken, and the two liquids mix, generating white foam containing carbon dioxide, which is ejected from the nozzle by the carbon dioxide pressure to cool and extinguish the burning material. Suitable for general fires, oil and chemical fires.

転倒式が多い。二重びんの容器で，外筒に重炭酸ナトリウムと起泡剤の水溶液，内筒に硫酸アルミニウム液が入れてあり，使用時に転倒させる，あるいはびんを壊すことにより，両液が混合，炭酸ガスを含んだ白い泡が発生，炭酸ガス圧でノズルから噴出し，燃焼物を冷却消火する。一般火災，油脂・化学薬品火災に適する。
