Allergic rhinitis, hay fever, bronchial asthma, allergic gastroenteritis, hives, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, serum sickness, and other diseases thought to be caused by immune reactions. The antigens (allergens) that cause allergies are varied, including foods such as milk and eggs, medicines such as antipyrine and sulfa drugs, pollen, dust mites, and house dust. This type of disease does not occur in everyone even under the same conditions, but occurs more often in people who are predisposed to allergies, and this predisposition is closely related to genetics.

アレルギー性鼻炎，花粉症，気管支喘息(ぜんそく)，アレルギー性胃腸炎，蕁麻疹(じんましん)，接触性皮膚炎，アトピー性皮膚炎，血清病など免疫反応によって起こると考えられる疾患。原因となる抗原（アレルゲン）はさまざまで，牛乳，鶏卵のような食品，アンチピリン，サルファ剤のような薬品，花粉，ダニ，ハウスダストなど。この種の疾患は同じ条件下でもすべての人に起こるものでなく，かかりやすい素質（アレルギー素質）の人に多く起こり，この素質には遺伝的関係が濃い。
