…The Gran Chaco is a vast plain in the center of South America. It is an alluvial plain that reaches from the Paraguay River in the east to the foothills of the Andes in the west. It is divided into the Chaco Boreal, located north of the Pilcomayo River, and the Argentine Chaco, located south of the Pilcomayo River.
