Japanese: 歩け歩け運動 - あるけあるけうんどう

A movement that practices and encourages walking to improve physical strength and health. In the United States, President John F. Kennedy proposed it to make up for the lack of exercise among the public. In Japan, it has been held since the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games, and awareness-raising activities and events are carried out mainly by the National Council for Physical Fitness, the Japan Manpo Club, and the Japan Walking Association. The International Four Days March has been held once a year since 1909 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Following this example, the Japan Three Days March has been held every November in Higashimatsuyama City, Saitama Prefecture since 1978.

体力と健康の増進のために歩行を実践，奨励する運動。アメリカ合衆国において，国民の運動不足を補うためにジョン・F.ケネディ大統領が提唱した。日本では 1964年の東京オリンピック競技大会ののち行なわれており，体力つくり国民会議，日本万歩クラブ，日本ウォーキング協会などが中心になって展開し，啓蒙活動や行事を実施している。オランダのナイメーヘンでは 1909年から毎年 1回，国際4日間行進大会（インターナショナル・フォーデーズ・マーチ）が行なわれている。これにならって日本でも 1978年から埼玉県東松山市で日本スリーデーマーチが毎年 11月に開催されている。
