The country's first documentary film was made in 1896, the year after cinema was invented in France. The world's first feature-length film is said to be "The American Train Robbery" (20 minutes), produced in America in 1903, but the first full-length film was the Australian film "The Story of the Kelly Gang" (60 minutes, directed by S. Fitzgerald) made in 1906.
