Japanese: アムステルダム中央駅 - あむすてるだむちゅうおうえき
Amsterdam Central Station - Amsterdam Central Station

...The first fully-fledged terminal station in Paris was the Gare de l'Est (1847-52, designed by F. Duquesney), and the first in the United States was Providence Station in Rhode Island (1848, designed by T. Tefft). Other famous stations for their stylistic features include St. Pancras Station in London (1868-69, designed by GG Scott) in the Gothic style, Amsterdam Central Station (1881-89, designed by Cuypers) in the Dutch Renaissance style of brick and stone veneer, New York's Pennsylvania Station (1906-10, designed by McKim, Mead & White, no longer in existence) in the Classical style, Helsinki Station (1910-20, designed by GE Saarinen) in a style that explored modern architecture, and Rome's Termini Station (completed in 1951, designed by E. Montuori and L. Calini), which is considered a masterpiece of modern architecture. While the station building itself is an elaborate architectural design, the platform roof is a culmination of steel structural technology, and the roof of the St. Pancras station mentioned above (designed by WH Barlow) has a span of about 74m, the largest in the world at the time.
