Masakuni Abe

Japanese: 阿部正邦 - あべまさくに

1658-1715 A daimyo from the early to mid-Edo period.
Born on April 19, 1664. Son of Abe Sadataka. His uncle Abe Masaharu returned his father's estates to him, and in 1668 he became the 5th lord of the Abe clan in Musashi Iwatsuki Domain (Saitama Prefecture). He later became the lord of Miyazu Domain in Tango (Kyoto Prefecture) and Utsunomiya Domain in Shimotsuke, before becoming the first lord of the Abe clan in Fukuyama Domain in Bingo (Hiroshima Prefecture) in 1707. He had a fief of 100,000 koku. He died on January 27, 1712, at the age of 58.

明暦4年4月19日生まれ。阿部定高(さだたか)の子。父の遺領を叔父阿部正春から返還され,寛文11年武蔵(むさし)岩槻(いわつき)藩(埼玉県)藩主阿部家5代となる。のち丹後(京都府)宮津藩主,下野(しもつけ)宇都宮藩主をへて,宝永7年備後(びんご)(広島県)福山藩主阿部家初代。10万石。正徳(しょうとく)5年1月27日死去。58歳。
