...It is oviparous and lays about 10 to 14 eggs at a time. It is one of the less toxic species of the hind fang snakes, but along with the African twig snake , Thelotornis kirtlandi (English name: twig snake, bird snake) of South Africa, it is highly toxic and dangerous to humans. Its venomous fangs are large and grooved, with 2 to 3 pairs located at the back of the upper jaw.
