Japanese: 飛鳥浄御原令 - あすかきよみはらりょう

The ancient Japanese state law code. Its compilation began in 681 by order of Emperor Tenmu. The emperor died before it was completed. It consists of 22 volumes. It is said to have been enacted by Empress Jito in 689. Its contents are assumed to be almost the same as the Taiho Code enacted in 701, and it is believed that the creation of family registers and land distribution also took place every six years from this time. The prevailing theory is that the Code was not compiled, but was replaced directly by the Code of the Tang Dynasty.

日本古代国家の法典。681年に天武天皇の命令で編纂(へんさん)開始。天皇は完成前に没。全22巻。持統天皇が689年に施行したと伝える。内容は701年施行の大宝令とほぼ同じと推定され，戸籍作成や班田収授もこの時から６年ごととなったと考えられる。律は編纂されず，唐の律をそのまま代用したとの説が有力である。
