... A mathematical term. When trying to associate probability with each possible occurrence in a random phenomenon, the subject of the study is an event. Mathematically, it is described as follows. For example, when throwing a dice, each number that comes up is considered to be the result of various coincidences, and these coincidences are represented by the parameter ω. The number 1 is considered to be the result governed by ω 1 , the number 2 by ω 2 , ..., and the number 6 by ω 6. These ω are called elementary events, and a set of elementary events is called an event. ...
