Also called movable partitions. A movable wall that divides the space inside a building. There are two types: a fixed wall type that is used under normal circumstances, and an openable and closable type like a fixture, and their characteristics are quite different. The former are used to create partitions according to the use of rooms after the finishing work on the floors, walls, and ceilings of the main building has been completed, and can be removed and moved if changes need to be made to the room layout. 移動間仕切りともいう。建物内部の空間を仕切る壁で,移動可能なものをいう。平常時は固定的に使用される壁のタイプと,開閉式の建具的なタイプがあり,両者の性格はおおいに異なる。前者は,建物本体の床,壁,天井の仕上工事が終わった後に,部屋の使い方に応じた間仕切りをするために用いられ,部屋割の変更の必要性に応じて取り外し,移設が可能である。このようなプラニング上および時間的変化のうえでの柔軟性をもつという性格から,主として事務所建築に多用される。
