...A samurai from the end of the Kamakura period. Commonly known as Jiro. He was a descendant of the Seiwa Genji Asuke clan, whose base was in Asuke, Kamo County, Mikawa Province. The area included the imperial estates Takahashi Manor and Takahashi Shin Manor, and the Asuke clan had close ties to the imperial family for generations, and participated in Emperor Godaigo's movement to overthrow the shogunate. According to the Taiheiki, Shigenori participated in the siege of Kasagi Castle on the imperial side during the Genko Rebellion (1331), defending the east entrance and drawing a powerful bow, causing trouble for the shogunate forces, but after the castle fell he was captured by Rokuhara and beheaded in May of the following year at Rokujo-gawara in Kyoto.
