A facility for worshiping divine spirits. The only article that mentions "Amatsuhimorogi and Amatsuiwasakuya" is in the first book of the Tenson Korin Chapter in Volume 2 of the "Nihon Shoki," and the same text can be found in the "Kogoshuui." There are a few theories about its actual form, but it is assumed to have been a small stone enclosure that was built from time to time for worship. Archaeologically, it is thought to be a 1-2 meter diameter area made of natural stones and used as a ritual site, as seen at the Sakatayama Site in Shirahama-cho, Wakayama Prefecture, and the Okinoshima No. 22 Site in Munakata-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture, and ritual artifacts have been found inside. There are circular and square stone enclosures, but the difference in their usage is unclear. There was once a strong theory that Kogoishi was the iwasakuya, but it is now clear that it was a mountain castle.
