…Akinakes spread from the Danube River basin in the west to southern Siberia and Mongolia in the east to the northern border of China in the second half of the 6th century BC. The latter swords were made of cast bronze and had short blades, so they should be called Akinakes-style daggers and distinguished from the original ones. There is a view that the “Xinglu sword” that appears in Chinese historical records is an Akinakes-style dagger. …
