[1] A place name in the southwestern tip of Hyōgo Prefecture. In the early Edo period, the son of Ikeda Terumasa of Himeji became independent and established a domain. After Asano Naganao entered the castle, it developed into a castle town with a fief of 53,000 koku. The Asano family was abolished after his grandson Naganori was assassinated , and was later succeeded by the Nagai and Mori families. It was known as a town of Ako Gishi and salt production. It is part of the Harima Industrial Region. It was incorporated as a city in 1951. [2] A county in the southwestern tip of Hyōgo Prefecture. It is located in the lower reaches of the Chikusa River. [一] 兵庫県南西端の地名。江戸初期、姫路の池田輝政の子が独立して一藩をおこす。浅野長直(ながなお)入城後五万三千石の城下町として発展。孫、長矩(ながのり)の刃傷(にんじょう)により浅野家は改易となり、のち永井氏、森氏と続いた。赤穂義士、製塩の町で知られた。播磨工業地域の一部。昭和二六年(一九五一)市制。[二] 兵庫県の南西端の郡。千種(ちくさ)川の下流域にある。かつては赤穂市・相生市も含まれていた。
