This was the land of Kanshin-in Temple, Gion Shrine, Kyoto, located in Taki County, Tanba Province. It can also be read as "Hohokabe." It is currently located in the area of Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. In 1098, Gyoen of Kanshin-in Temple established a ho with 25 cho of farmland, but it was not recognized by the provincial governor and was confiscated. In 1130, Gyoen's successor, Kanen, donated materials for the construction of temples that were imposed on Tanba Province, and the ho was reinstated. It remained one of the four ho of Gion Shrine throughout the Middle Ages. In the late Kamakura period, the Hoho clan, who were the development lords and claimed to have inherited the position of Geshishiki for generations, repeatedly seized the land, and in the Muromachi period, it lost its substance.
