Issues 1 to 4 of the revival were published in leaflet format, but from issue 5, dated December 5, 1945, it became a newspaper format. In January 1946, the title was changed to Akahata (reverted back to Akahata in February 1966), and it was the most active of the party's organ newspapers, but on June 25, 1950, the day after the start of the Korean War, General MacArthur, the Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers, ordered it to be suspended for one month, and on July 18, it was ordered to cease publication indefinitely.
