...It is mainly distributed in the Hakuba mountain range, and is therefore also known as Shiroumarindou. In the Southern Alps, there is a variety with blue-purple corolla lobes, var. akaisiensis Yamazaki. Some of the alpine Gentianaceae plants in Japan have limited distribution.
