After that, deep in the mountains of Vermont, USA, he devoted himself to writing "The Red Wheel," a great romance that is said to be a rewriting of the history of the Russian Revolution, and published "August 1914," "October 1916," and "March 1917" after 1983. In May 1983, he received the Templeton Prize, known as the Nobel Prize of the religious world, and attended the award ceremony in London, where he sharply criticized modern civilization from a Christian standpoint, saying, "All the tragedies of modern times are caused by our forgetting God." …
