[Rotation transmission mechanism]
This refers to the mechanism that transmits the rotation of the motor shaft to the turntable and changes the speed to the required number of rotations. There are various types of this mechanism: idler drive, belt drive, and direct drive. Of these, the idler drive, also known as the rim drive, transmits the rotation by friction, using a rubber disk (idler) sandwiched between the inner circumference of the turntable and a capstan attached to the motor's rotating shaft.
