War of 1812

…the war that took place between the United States and Great Britain in 1812. It is also called the Anglo-American War, but in America it is called the War of 1812. After 1793, especially during the war between Britain and France during the Napoleonic era, America's maritime trade flourished by taking advantage of its neutrality.
