Wādī (English spelling) wadi

Wadi is a term used in Arabic to refer to a river, a river valley, or a riverbed. It is more correctly called wādi. Rivers in arid regions such as Arabia and North Africa usually have no water in their riverbeds, but only flow temporarily during heavy rains in the rainy season.
