This keyhole-shaped tumulus is located in Kurikuma Higashi, Ayauta-cho, Ayauta-gun, Kagawa Prefecture. It was built facing northeast at the southern end of the Yokoyama mountain range, overlooking the plains of central Sanuki to the west. It is 100m long and has a diameter of 65m at the rear mound. However, the location of the end of the front mound is unclear. It is furnished with roofing stones and haniwa clay figures. In 1950 and 1951, three split-bamboo shaped stone coffins were excavated from the rear mound. Each sarcophagus has a built-in stone pillow. A Chinese-made square grid mirror, beads, stone bracelets, swords, iron arrowheads and agricultural tools were excavated from Sarcophagus No. 1, which was covered with a pit-type stone chamber-like facility, while an imitation mirror with an inner floral pattern, tubular beads, swords, axes and knives were excavated from Sarcophagus No. 2, which was covered with clay and stone slabs, and an imitation mirror with an inner floral pattern, swords and iron arrowheads were excavated from Sarcophagus No. 3, which was covered with clay, and a jar-shaped pottery was also excavated from outside the coffin. 香川県綾歌郡綾歌町栗熊東に所在する前方後円墳。讃岐中部の平野を西にのぞむ横山山塊の南端に,北東面して築かれる。全長100m,後円部径65mをはかる。ただし,前方部端の位置は明確でない。葺石(ふきいし),埴輪をそなえる。1950,51両年に,後円部で3基の割竹形石棺を発掘した。いずれの石棺も作りつけ石枕をそなえる。竪穴式石室様の施設で被覆した1号石棺から中国製方格規矩鏡,玉類,石釧(いしくしろ),刀剣,鉄鏃,農工具が,粘土と板石とで被覆した2号石棺から仿製内行花文鏡,管玉,剣,斧,刀子が,粘土で被覆した3号石棺から仿製内行花文鏡,剣,鉄鏃が,また同棺外から壺形土器がそれぞれ出土した。
