...Distributed throughout Japan, often found in lawns. L. spicata Lour. (English name: creeping lily-turf) is a species with an intermediate appearance between the two, and is widely distributed from the warm temperate zone of southwestern Japan to mainland China, Taiwan, and Indochina. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is used medicinally along with Ophiopogon, as an emulsifier and cough suppressant.
