…Magnetic fields are created by permanent magnets, coils carrying current, solenoids, electromagnets, etc., and their strength is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the magnetic pole. Within a magnetic field, the curve that coincides with the tangent direction of the magnetic field at a point is called a magnetic field line, and the density of the magnetic field lines is proportional to the magnetic field strength at that point.
