Lipotrophin

Lipotrophin is a fatty acid hormone secreted by the anterior and intermediate lobes of the pituitary gland. It is also called lipotrophin and abbreviated as LPH. It is a single-chain polypeptide, and there are two types: beta-lipotropin, which consists of 91 amino acids, and gamma-lipotropin, which consists of 58 amino acids from the amino terminal 1 to 58.
