Macrocosmus

…the opposite of macrocosmus, referring to the small world (microcosm) that corresponds to the larger world (macrocosm), i.e., humans. This type of thought, which considers humans in contrast to the universe, was seen as early as the early classical Greek period in Democritus, but was particularly popular among the Platonic school, and was spoken of in connection with the Timaeus-like, vitalist view of the universe.
