Kaigo (English spelling) jiè háo
A defensive facility built by the Jin Dynasty in China on the northwestern border to prepare for the invasion of Mongolian nomads. Although it had been partially built at the time of the founding of the state, Zhangzong carried out a major reconstruction after 1192 (the 3rd year of Mingchang) when nomadic activity intensified. However, this cost a huge amount of money and strained the national finances. The remains of the Great Wall (only earthworks and trenches remain) that begins on the west bank of the Nen River in the Moli Dahua Autonomous Banner in Heilongjiang Province and continues southwestward along the Greater Khingan Mountains, splitting into three branches along the way.
