...After Ismail's death, a group of people who claimed that the title of Imam had been passed on to his son Muhammad appeared, and they were called the Mubarak group. This group became the mainstream of the Ismailis. The origins of the Ismaili movement are unclear, but the common belief is that the founders of the group were the Iranian Maymun al-Qaddāḥ (years of birth and death unknown) and his son 'Abd Allāh (years of birth and death unknown).
