Iyo Saionji family

Kintoshi was attacked and killed by the Hosokawa clan in 1379 (Tenju 5, Koryaku 1), but his descendant, Sanemitsu, built Kurose Castle and lived there with Kintaka, Kintsugu, Kinnobu, and Kinhiro, but in 1584 (Tensho 12), he was attacked by the Chosokabe clan and retreated, only to be killed a few years later, becoming extinct. …

…すなわち公経の男実有が一条家を，実雄が洞院家を，実藤が四辻(室町)家を起こし，公相の男実俊が橋本家を，実兼の男兼季が今出川(菊亭)家を起こした。また鎌倉時代に伊予国の知行国主を相伝したため，一流の公俊(実衡の子という)が東宇和郡に下向し河野氏の女をめとって松葉城におり，伊予西園寺家の祖となる。公俊は1379年(天授5∥康暦1)細川氏に攻められて敗死したが，その後裔実光は黒瀬城を築き，公高･公次･公宣･公広とここにいたが，1584年(天正12)長宗我部氏に攻められて下り，数年後に殺されて断絶した。…
