Starring Higashiyama Chieko, Mori Kikue, Takamine Mieko, Kaneko Nobuo, Takamine Hideko, Kuga Yoshiko and others. Winner of the 5th Blue Ribbon Award for Best Screenplay, the 9th Mainichi Film Awards for Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Music, Best Sound, Best Actress (Takamine Hideko), Best Supporting Actress (Kuga Yoshiko) and others.
