Phycomycetes

…these fungi produce zygospores by gamete conjugation, and are classified as part of the Zygomycotina subphylum. The term phycomycetes was used to refer to both zygospores and flagellated fungi. Zygospores are sexually reproductive organs, and are often spherical, dark in color, and covered with spines.
