Pietro, S.di (English spelling) PietroSdi

...Simone was followed by Lippo Memmi (active 1317-46) and the Lorenzetti brothers (Pietro and Ambrogio), whose more dramatic style was his forte, while Ambrogio's vibrant colors and delicate sensibility paved the way for the International Gothic style that blossomed at the end of the 14th century. The Sienese school of the 15th century did not enjoy the same prosperity and influence as the previous century, but L. Monaco, who later worked in Florence, produced devout and attractive religious paintings, and Sassetta, Giovanni di Paolo, and Sano di Pietro (1406-81) added a fantastical atmosphere reminiscent of Surrealism to the then-fashionable International Gothic style. In the early 16th century, Sodoma, a native of Lombardy, settled in Siena and introduced a style inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, while producing works that marked the transition from the High Renaissance to Mannerism.
