...In the strict sense, it refers to red sea bream, but it can also be used to refer to marine fish of the Sparidae family, including red sea bream. Red sea bream Pagrus major (illustration) is a large marine fish that can reach a body length of 1m, and is a beautiful fish with a reddish-brown body dotted with small bright blue dots. It has a long life span, and some live for more than 30 years.
