Pratylenchinae

...A general term for nematodes in the subfamily Pratylenchinae of the family Pratylenchidae. Many species are important agriculturally, such as the northern root-lesion nematode Pratylenchus penetrans , which is common in cooler regions, and the southern root-lesion nematode P. coffeae , which is common in warmer regions. Taro, radish, burdock, lettuce, strawberry, clover, tea, and many other crops are affected, and because the host range is so wide, it is difficult to control them by changing the way crops are grown.
