〘Noun〙 Shamisen music developed as an accompaniment to Edo Kabuki. It began in Genroku ( 1688-1704 ) but was perfected after the Kyoho ( 1716-36 ) era. It reached its heyday after the Bunka ( 1804-1818 ) era, and around this time songs that were separate from Kabuki were created and became widely popular after the Meiji era. Nagauta. 〘名〙 江戸歌舞伎の伴奏として発達した三味線音楽。元祿(一六八八‐一七〇四)に始まるが、享保(一七一六‐三六)以後に完成。文化(一八〇四‐一八)以後に全盛期を迎え、この頃には歌舞伎から離れた単独の歌曲も生まれ、明治以後、広く普及した。長唄。〔随筆・守貞漫稿(1837‐53)〕
