rasta

…(4) Degrees according to the capabilities of humans and livestock Now, regarding the type of (ii), there are many known units of distance traveled in a certain amount of time. Starting with units based on the stride length of a human walking (Anglo-American pace = about 76 cm, German Schritt = 71-75 cm), units based on compound steps (ancient Chinese step and ancient Roman passus = about 148 cm, which is 1000 times the latter, the mille passuum, which later became the mile), there are also stadiums (plural stadia) and their multiples, the distance that can be walked in a day (ancient Germanic rasta), the distance that can be traveled by car in a day (ancient Indian yojana), and many other examples. Incidentally, one stadium (Greek: stadium) refers to the distance traveled by a person who begins walking the moment the first rays of the sun are seen until the lower edge of the sun leaves the horizon, and is interpreted as about 180 to 200 meters.
