A town in Tamura County in central-eastern Fukushima Prefecture. The entire town is part of the Abukuma Highlands, and Miharu, the main settlement along the Ban'etsu East Line, developed as a castle town for the Akita clan and a horse-breeding area. Rice, silkworms, and tobacco are cultivated. The town is known for its toys, Miharu horses and Miharu dolls. The Miharu Takizakura cherry tree is a natural monument.
