Cuban Movies

From the late 1960s, he was forced to turn to commercial action films such as "Mafia: Blood Bonds" (1973), and was replaced by a younger generation of directors who, with closer cooperation from the writer Borges, aimed to make new films ("guerrilla films" and "liberation films"), such as Solanas Fernando (born 1936) ("The Sons of Martín Fierro" 1974) and Hugo Santiago (born 1939, who had fled to France) ("The Misfit" 1973).
[Other countries]
After the Cuban Revolution, under the Castro regime, the Cuban Institute of Cinematography and Industry (ICAIC) was established in 1959, and revolutionary and documentary films by Santiago Alvarez (Hanoi, 1962), Manuel Octavio Gómez (The History of the Combat, 1962), and Humberto Solas (Manuela, 1966) were promoted and attracted attention. Other notable directors include Bolivian Jorge Sanginés (Ukamau, 1966, The First Enemy, 1973), Chilean Elvio Soto (The Blood of the Homeland, 1969, Rain on Santiago, 1975), and Peruvian Armando Robles Godoy (The Green Wall, 1969, Mirage of Sand, 1975), but Sanginés and Soto were forced to flee the country in the 1970s in order to continue their creative work.
