Japanese: 尾上多賀之丞 - おのえたがのじょう

Kabuki actor. The three generations are the most famous. (1) The first generation: A young female actor in the Genroku period (1688-1704), from whom the first Onoe Kikugoro was born. In 1690 (Genroku 3), he took the name Taganojo. (2) The third generation (1887-1978, Meiji 20-Showa 53): His real name was Higuchi Onisaburo. He was the nephew of the fourth generation Asao Takuzaemon. He made his debut in 1891 at the Yotsuya Kiriza Theater under the name Ichikawa Onisaburo. In 1911, he became a disciple of the second generation Ichikawa Sadanji, and took the name Ichikawa Onimaru (Kigan). In 1921, he was recognized by the sixth generation Onoe Kikugoro and moved to the Ichimura Theater, where he served as Kikugoro's wife.

歌舞伎俳優。3世が最も名高い。(1)初世　元禄期(1688‐1704)の若女方で，この門葉から初世尾上菊五郎が出る。1690年(元禄3)に多賀之丞を名のった。(2)3世(1887‐1978∥明治20‐昭和53)　本名樋口鬼三郎。4世浅尾工左衛門の甥。1891年四谷桐座で市川鬼三郎を名のり初舞台。1911年2世市川左団次の門弟となり，5世市川鬼丸（きがん）を襲名。21年6世尾上菊五郎に認められて市村座に移り，以後菊五郎の女房役をつとめる。
