Japanese: 鬼次拍子舞 - おにじひょうしまい

Kabuki dance. Nagauta. Original title: Tsuki no Kao Monaka no Natorigusa. First performed at the Edo Kawarazaki Theater in 1793 (Kansei 5). Lyrics and music by the first Kineya Shojiro. Otani Oniji plays Nagata Taro, and Iwai Kiyotaro plays Matsuno Mae. The nicknames are taken from the names of the actors. Since Bando Mitsugoro VII's revival in 1922, it has become a Bando-style piece. The dance is a grand old dance with a beat dance of the old-fashioned and rugged Nagata and Matsuno Mae in a black hat and mizuginu, a kudoki filled with insects, chobokure, hand dance, and mikaeshi.

歌舞伎舞踊。長唄。本名題《月顔最中名取種（つきのかおもなかのなとりぐさ）》。1793年(寛政5)江戸河原崎座初演。作詞･作曲初世杵屋（きねや）正次郎。長田太郎を大谷鬼次，松の前を岩井喜代太郎。主演者の名をとって通称としている。7世坂東三津五郎が1922年に復活して以来，坂東流の曲のようになっている。古風で武骨な長田と烏帽子水干姿の松の前との拍子舞，虫づくしのクドキ，チョボクレ，手踊，見顕しとなる大時代な踊り。
